Senior Legal Counsel (10 years PQE)

We are looking for an experienced in-house lawyer to join our client’s legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal.
You’ll work in a dynamic environment where your efforts will be rewarded. You’ll be part of a great team in a collegiate environment, with excellent working conditions.
You’ll work on a range of internal advisory matters and day to day commercial work, ranging from
• Negotiating contracts
• Guiding the business on financial services regulation and best practice in the sphere of investment funds
• Advising on data protection issues
• Providing guidance and support to the compliance and risk teams on associated legal issues
• Involvement in enhancing policies and precedents
• Involvement in project work from the legal perspective

Naturally, to be considered for this role you’ll:
• Have a qualification as a solicitor or barrister, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience PQE in a high-caliber UK firm
• Have experience in financial services regulation and solid knowledge of alternative investment funds regulation
• Use your skills to provide commercially focused advice, being proactive and reactive when necessary
• Be a skilled multi-tasker, able to prioritise and to keep colleagues appraised of progress
• Manage matters effectively to completion
• You’ll have excellent communication skills
